Steve is the leading social innovation expert in China and Hong Kong. There he is currently the lead consultant for Innopower, the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s social innovation project, training talented social workers to become Change Makers. The first of its kind in Hong Kong.

After he finished his social entrepreneurship study at Harvard Kennedy School in 2007, he partnered with the British Council to launch the Social Entrepreneurs Training Program in 2009, the first and biggest social entrepreneurship program in China.

In 6 years, he has trained over 2,000 aspiring social entrepreneurs and helped transform dozens of NGOs into social enterprises. In 2011, Steve brought in one of China’s first impact investment from Hong Kong in special education (Langlang Learning Potential Development Center). 

Steve has over 15 years of executive and consulting experiences at multinationals. He started his career at The New York Times in New York when he attended graduate school at Columbia University. When he moved back to Hong Kong, he worked for Merck and Honeywell Greater China in Training and PA Consulting in strategic consulting. Moving up to Asia Pacific management, he became as the Operation Director Asia for BEA Systems (now part of Oracle). His diversified career profile prepared him to take on the challenge to start his second career in China.

In business, he founded his own training company to help Fortune 500 companies develop management talents in China. His clients include Coca Cola, Philips, GE, Pepsi, HP, Pfizer, Merck, Sanofi, and Tencent. He has trained over 50,000 managers in global and strategic management.
