“We are in constant search of innovation and accessible, thoughtful solutions to unpack and address the challenges linked to fast fashion and hope to leverage this opportunity as a means to drive positive, replicable impact, while empowering more women in the community and marketplace. Building on the success of the India Chapter, we are thrilled to invite European entrepreneurs of all genders to come up with new ideas to help ensure end-to-end supply chain sustainability–from production and marketing to consumption. Connecting the corporate sector with female-benefitting scalable ventures will improve gender equality and also bring Europe closer to its sustainability interests.”

– Katja Freiwald, WeEmpowerAsia Regional Programme Manager, UN Women

“The effects of Covid-19 on the entire fashion industry, including its international supply chains and its predominantly female workforce, are huge and are adding to the already-existing sustainability challenges faced by the industry. I think this project is an opportunity to forge new coalitions to better resolve the problems together. With the Industry Disruptor we will focus on joint solutions and sharing best practice.”
