HYBRID WORK:

RESILIENCE AND REMOTE LEADERSHIP

A key concern explored by 1,000 global leaders during We Emerge Week was how to thrive in a hybrid work environment. We’ve committed to empowering people to develop a new way of working together.

Traditional ways of managing businesses are hindering recovery plans and causing internal frustration. It’s difficult to separate work from home, empower a healthy and resilient team, and maintain morale, all while ensuring performance measures are still relevant. How can we speed up decision-making, encourage new collaboration and reimagine value creation holistically?

In the Hybrid Work DO Camp we approach work as organizing for multiple purposes. Before the pandemic, we limited ourselves to organize for growth as the primary driver. This course will create new mindsets, develop new skills, and foster insights to practical ways of driving hybrid work.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

Using human centered design and innovation methods we will explicitly address ways to create resilient environments and improve employee experience and the role of corporate culture in creating inspiring solutions for new sources of value.

Hybrid Work is not about designing work for 5 – 10 years time it is about what we Do well today. Participants will take away:

  • Implementable actions for what can be applied now to address the way we work
  • Understanding how to build work for diversity and inclusion in a creative new way

SESSION BREAKDOWN

PILOT – come and help us define the Hybrid Work Agenda 2021. The first 12 participants will have the chance to co-create the agenda and ensure their venture is among those showcased in the DO Hybrid Work Community.

DEFINING THE CHALLENGE OF YOUR HYBRID WORLD

To start, we build an understanding of the emotional and physical needs of our colleagues, communities, and ourselves. This requires emotional insight into working lives through the pandemic. What does hybrid work look like in your business?

WHO ARE WE DESIGNING WORK FOR AND WHY?

Next, we ideate a better hybrid work experience by establishing a set of hybrid work design principles to form a hypothesis on how we will imagine and design hybrid work. What is the hypothesis that is relevant and meaningful for your business?

  INSPIRING RESILIENCE IN HYBRID WORK

Together, we design great solutions that maximize remote leadership and encourage diversity and inclusion during ideation. Exploring how to design hybrid work for societal impact we will check in on the value we create beyond eBit and Revenue.

ECOSYSTEM TESTING OF HYBRID SOLUTIONS

In classic DO School style, we test our hybrid solutions on The DO School platform: a diverse network of leaders, experts, innovators and entrepreneurs. We’ll create a masterplan for applying the most promising solutions.

MEASURE AND APPLY

We collect and apply the data that could be applied to measure hybrid work . From adapting existing performance management processes to radical candor we select the few measures that reflect a healthy and effective remote working culture.

IMPLEMENTATION

As we close the session we consider the holistic system and how to apply practical take away steps for your hybrid work solution, including creating a movement for positive change.
