Seeing the lack of suitable job opportunities for women in rural India during her Gandhi Fellowship made Asha Scaria start Swara – Voice of Women, a fashion brand that is made up primarily of rural women tailors. Her vision is to join the traditional creativity of marginalised women tailors with urban sensibilities.
